being basically purest eeevill, I'm bragging about my new arrival, but no pics. (wife took the camera to her sister's and isn't home yet)
But, as a companion to my Eskabar & TacTool, I now have a Patrol Machete!
The plan is to take a couple of pictures tomorrow when I test it out on some Juniper. (I hates Juniper trees)

the juniper is surprisingly ... nasty. we'll see :)

but yay, patrol machete. as long as it's not an "import" :)

Black blade coating, check
BK&T Camillus New York, USA stamped on the blade, check
Hex head bolts, check
sticker on end of box that says "new graham knives" next to the larger one that says BK6 Becker Machete Black...

I suspect it's gen-yew-ine enough for me.

and as i was limbing the nasty things this afternoon with my Junglas, I feel it only fair to give the BK6 it's fair shot at them tomorrow.

i'm not convinced :) send it to me for ... evaluation and so forth.

just saw one of those go by for $60. nice. good snag for that person. they're out there!
 
The BK6 Becker Patrol Machete is the next Becker blade to go up for passaround. Its my personal one, but, WTF, you guys deserve it. First one to get it, will be Switchblade, Canada has to get theirs.

Sweet grab, good blade, and one of the best, I mean best machetes out there. Too thick to be Imacasa or Tramontina, its pure American Becker baby, coming in at the spine at a full, 3/16", bitch hits like a Mack truck. High grind, I only wish Toooj could work some HT magic on it. TOOOJ, you tha man.

Is this an old stock piece or new production coming out ????????? Because if it is coming out of ka-bar, it's the answer to my dreams !!! I have been on the fence about several machetes but would buy this in a heart beat !!
 
Its an Camillus model. A gift from a friend. he handles been modded and the edge is used, but for the most part, its in great shape. I use i quite often during the summer months. We have to finish the BK5 passaround first, though.

I cannot express how I truly feel about your kind and generous offer, but if it is a copy I would not want to put you through the trouble and trauma, so i'll hold onto it here. :)

BPM did a pretty decent job of hacking apart an 18' tall juniper this afternoon.
definitely gotta make some custom scales -- the grivory handles are just shaped wrong for my mitts, so I had some issues with hand fatigue.

Kabar has not released them yet - I traded for mine on the exchange.
Spine is 3/16"
 
ever since a wicked St Patty's Day pub crawl in Reno, loaded with Gin, the mere smell of Juniper makes my stomach drop f bombs.
