new Becker neckers

Just ordered mine, I really can't afford or need anymore knives but it's never stopped me before. It's sad that I need to worry about small purchases of essential items (like my knives) but that's what happens when you have kids. At least my wife puts up with me even if she doesn't understand.:D
 
I think I need a campanion. I just wish that you could get replacement G10 or micarta handles for these...
 
If you're willing to put on the handles yourself and finish the sharpening I saw a couple of new Companion blanks for sale on ebay. The heat treat and blade coating were done and it was stamped BK&T. I guess it was a leftover when Camillus went under. It just needed handles and the final sharpening.
 
That is the new Ka-Bar sheath. I have one of the new San Mei BK11's and really like it. This is my second go around with the BK 11. I should have never sold my first one. I really dislike the new sheath. I wish it had more holes along the length of the sheath. There is way to much plastic for a minimalist knife. I will make a leather sheath for mine once I have the time.
 
I took advantage of a PayBuddy discount coupon on EvilBay yesterday and have a Buck 151 Kaala necker, similar size to the 'Necker' above, just S30V steel, on the way. It was $48 shipped - and i have promised it a paracord or nylon netting cord wrap upon arrival.

Hey Eric N......

The new BECKER NECKER is marginally thicker than the original and although the old NECKER fits, it is a pretty loose fit...I personally would only trust it worn right side up and walking, not running, on pavement.....

I have one of the original series - very tempted to pick up one of the new ones as a backup. Great knife!
