After lurking here for a while I finally decided to make the BK9 my first Becker. Ordered from Tomar's last Saturday and had it in my paws by Wednesday!! Took it to work on Thursday and proceeded to beat the tar out of it on my lunch break. I put it to work chopping some 2x4's in the warehouse. All three handle screws came loose after chopping one 2x4 into three pieces. After work I swung by the hardware store and picked up some stainless cap screws and nylock nuts. No more problem with the handle screws coming loose! Figured since I had it apart anyway I would remove the coating from the spine and polish it a little bit. Took it back to work today and put it to the test.

I am very impressed with this knife, it performed very well! I do like bigger knives and this one will fit right into my line up. I will pick up a BK2 at some point and really have my sights set on a Crewman.

On with the pics!

Cool man. Glad to have you here. I had some loose screws on my BK9 as well. Good idea to Loctite those suckers or do what you did. Nice selection of choppers you have there!

Looking good Snakedoc. Been eying that bad boy down myself.

Welcome to the Becker forum SnakeDoc, glad to have you here.

Love that polish job, looks damn good with that screw setup.

What a chopper and looks like it got some good friends to hang out with.

The Busse is a BMe or Battle Mistress Ergo. It is a beast, one of my very favorite Busses.

Welcome to the revolution.

They are both made by Scott Gossman. They are his "Big Boar Tusker" model. They one with brown micarta is 3/16 thick, while the one with yellow G10 is 5/16 thick. Scott has a subforum here on BF.

Thanks again for the great welcome.

I swear, everyone lives south WA. On another forum I'm on there is only one guy that lives up by me, and everyone else is in the south part of WA. I almost moved down to Kelso 6 years ago for a job, but I'm glad I didn't. They went under a couple years later.
