Hello All...I have had some Beckers for a good while. I have a Rheinhardt Khukri and a Brute made in Effingham that I bought back in the 90's(I think). They have both seen a lot of use. They are used but not abused. The khukri cuts brush like no other blade I have ever used. I also have a laminated steel Becker Necker. I use it a lot too as an EDC fixed blade. Oh, and I have a Cammilus Companion too. I have split a lot of camp wood with it.
My best friend who I have been friends with about 40 years just gave me a new Magnum Camp Knife. It was a belated Christmas present that he had ordered for me. Wow, what a great knife! I wanted one back before they went out of production but didn't have the money when I thought of it and vice versa. This is a really great cutting knife. The thinner blade and blade shape make it a wicked slicer. The handle is perfect for my medium sized hands. Most of my other large knives are thick, more like cleavers when it comes to processing food. They split veggies but the Camp Knife slices. I will be using it in the kitchen at home besides in the camp.
Anyway, if one hasn't tried one, you don't know what you are missing. I have lots of knives but this will be one that I use lots. My friend has given the best Christmas present I recieved this year(don't tell my wife I said that). I am very glad that it has been returned to the market...
