New Beckerhead!!!!

Today I received my Kabar BK&T BK2 and BK11 in the mail. My initial impression is WOW. Both knives were hair shaving sharp from the factory, and the edges looked fantastic in spite of some unfavorable reviews have stated. The BK2 was sharper that the BK11 which surprised me given the size difference. Never judge a book by its cover I guess. I am sure there are fancier knives out there. But given that I only have 90 bucks in both knives, I think I have more than I could ask for. I don't think I could have a better set of knives out in the brush. Well. Unless I had the whole line. Haha. Thank you Ethan Becker for the fantastic knives. For my first purchase of a knife, besides pocket knives and the such, I think I got it right the first time. Another thanks to the vets on BladeForums for all the advise I've read that led me to buy Kabar!
 
Excuse the title. I didn't know that there were qualifications to be a genuine Beckerhead. I hope to be on my way soon.

Congrats. Just ordered my first Becker an hour ago. BK2. Wishing now I threw in the BK11 too, so many good choices.
 
That is for sure! I am pretty stoked. Been messing with them since I got home. One note, some say the bk11 comes with paracord, but it's just nylon cord. There are not 7 white threads inside. So I will be rewrapping the bk11 handle as soon as I get some real paracord.
 
Stop by the BK&T forum & poke around. LOTS of good info there. Congrats ! Oh yeah, this is just the begining of the BK&T sickness ! LOL

Haha. Hopefully listening to "puppies on acid" by Dream Theater while biting and kicking. Keeps the energy going!

Thanks for the heads up on the coating. Every tree is see just looks like an opportunity now! Haha

I have since found my way to the BKT forum. Thanks for the warm welcome guys! Hopefully I too will be able to offer valuable info in the future.

Great knives - hope you like yours as well as I like mine! That's a pretty workable combo for certain.
