Heres one hot off the forge. 3/16" thick flat ground L6 steel for the blade, wrought iron guard, with elk antler handle and a spacer of cocobolo, osage, and shedua. The wrought iron is from an old railroad spike that I found under the foundation of my house we lost back in December to a fire, so its got a bit of sentimental value in a strange way. Thats where the knife gained the name "New Beginning". Its a sign of things to come, I'm back building knives steadily, the new house is well on its way and it feels good to be back in the shop, doing what I love. Sorry for the rant there, heres a pic. Ill take some better ones tomorrow in the natural light.

Thanks for looking.

Looks good. The ricasso looks like it wasn't polished. Is that the case?

Do you sell your knives? If so, you should make sure that people here know who you are.

Keith,

Thank you for the kind words. I neglected to mention, the ricasso as well as the spine of the knife were left with a forge finish. Something I have been doing with my past few knives. A touch of "Brut de forge" styling.

I do sell my knives, but havent sold one in quite a while, as you have to make them in order to sell them!

I suppose I could change my name on here to my real name if thats permitted. My current name is one I have gone by on most forums so it's just been habit to use when I join a new one. Thanks for the tip!
