I finally built a belt rack that I think will be useful.
Personally when I'm working I want my belts right there and available.
This rack rolls around so I can have it next to me, and roll it out of the way when done.
It has 8 dowels each side, so 16 belt holders. I could add 4 more on the ends if I need to.
I need to brace this up a bit, but it's not bad, even with the load that's on it. :)

Great design! I"m just getting back up and running in a temporary space and this would work great. Thanks for sharing!

I think I just might copy this, but maybe triangulate the bottom for stability.

Brock47, I have been using an old coat and hat rack my wife found at an estate sale. I just added 4 more coat hooks half way up the rack and put one grit size on each of the 8 hooks. I think your design is much better. Keep the rollers so you can move it around. Good job! I still have belts hanging everywhere. Larry

Thanks gents. W, I agree, brace it up at the bottom at least. The two cross pieces hold it pretty rigid, but over time it could weaken.
Larry, I had belts in my shop hanging on anything they could hang on, much like yours. :)

I sooooo need to build some sort of belt rack. Just have not had the inspiration. I'm out of space in my little shop but I must figure out something. Maybe a swing away rack over the big air compressor.

Replying to myself on this old thread, because it did happen. It finally started leaning real bad. I should have braced it up properly on the build, but I had no idea it would become such a magnet for worn out belts!

I saw a rolling rack out behind one of the cloththing stores in my shoppig center. It had lots of arms sticking out that had held ladies purses and belts. I took it over to Steve's for his belt rack. It works perfect.

Dang Mark looks like not only similar pavers out front, but same garage doors too. Nice job and like the rack.
