Hello All,

Well after nearly 10 years with same knife (beloved, hard used BM 720) I lost it! Completely blows!

I am probably not a true knife enthusiast other than the joy of using it daily. The 720 held up well, was rock solid and I really enjoyed it. However... the blade was a touch too long and didn't keep an edge as well as I would've liked. Thus im looking for a new BM. Must have axis lock and would actually prefer metal grips and full length(solid) liners. The grips aren't a definite but I think for the feel and strength the liners are. Feel free to sway me.

So...2.75" to 3"(ish), Axis lock, better steel than 154cm. Suggestions?

Emissary fits the bill. Just happened to carry mine today (and yesterday).

Recently discoed 525 and HK 14210; There are a ton of them still out there. Both classic smaller models.

I think the 707 is a great little knife. I used to carry one years ago.

But the price for one these days is $140 which is absurd IMO especially considering you're only getting 154CM steel.

The 484 looks pretty nice. The S90V/CF version looks particularly interesting. I have to say that I feel this one is also overpriced (like most BM's) but at least you're getting a premium steel in S90V.

I love Benchmade knives but methinks they are a bit overpriced. I think long and hard trying to sustify a BM purchase. I wish it weren't so.
707, 705, 710, 940, hk 14716

Went with the HK...14716. Niiice... D2, built like a tank. Perfectly centered blade with zero play.

Imma happy.
