Hey guys, I just picked up a new Infidel 3300BK! I did a lot of research and question asking about this knife and I found a lot of negative feedback but most of the comments were crusading for other knife brands! I really wanted to own one of these iconic OTF's for years so I didn't pay much attention to the constant redirect attempts, LOL! My personal findings are that this knife is solid, tight and smooth as butter! I might be the minority but I think the trigger switch is awesome! It has tension but remains smooth, constant and almost effortless to actuate! I like that it feels "squishy" instead of a hard break like a gun trigger. It just feels perfect to me!

One of the biggest gripes from the interwebs was the D2 steel blade. Sure, a fancy super steel would be nice but not necessary...D2 does the job just fine! But I am wondering if it is just D2 or is it CPM-D2? Benchmade Benchmade Jimmy, can you give me the definitive answer?

All in all, I am super happy with this thing and sure, there may be knives with better specs and better value but at the end of the day, I am a Benchmade fan and I am proud to add this classic flagship OTF Auto to my collection!

Congrats on the new 3300BK! The blade steel is still standard D2 not CPM-D2. We did make a few limited edition runs in S30V as well.

Thanks! Good to know...there is a lot of misinformation on the internet and Youtube. Personally, I have no problem with D2...it is fine for normal knife tasks and the Cerakote helps protect against rust. It's definitely a beautiful knife!

Any plans to ever run the 133BK fixed blades again?

That's a great set of knives! Yeah, I really don't see where all the bad press comes from! The Infidel is a classic Icon for sure!
