Debating between a benchmade adamas or loco. i would pick the adamas hands down but i heard the coating wears off fast and i dont like black coatings that ruin quickly. And before anyone recommends the contego i had one in m390 but i gave it away, wasnt that big of a fan. can someone name pros and cons of each one. The knife is mainly going to be used as a secondary edc, my main one is a cqc 15 with serrations

p.s. i will also be using this as a fidget knife. thats why im going with a benchmade. my manix 2 isnt my really my style

Told you in the other thread about the ergos of the Adamas for me but other than that it’s pretty heavy and very thick. Benchmades coating does wear off after heavy use but for most of mine it’s done well I’ll add a pic later. Cuts good on most things but if you have to cut into say a watermelon good luck thing is thick and like a wedge at that point. Fun to flip and close heft make it feel pretty badass. The sheath is a cool addition if you have use for it. The D2 on mine is excellent Benchmades D2 is top tier.

If you plan to pocket carry it remember it’s thick and if you mind weight I really don’t it’s almost 8ozs. Overall I love it but wish the scales were thinner. One cool looking blade from Sibert.

Mini Loco. The regular size is just too heavy for pocket carry or edc.

I’d probably choose the Mini Loco of the three. If you want to go hardcore on your knife, I could see you choosing the Adamas or the full sized Loco, but for one you’d carry all the time I’d get something that’s easier to use. Nothing wrong with beating the shite out of a blade, though! So consider the intended use and it should be easier to make a decision.

Contego should be in m4 imo. It's a thick blade that needs to be tough. With all kinds of jimping its geared to like a first responder scenario etc. M390 is for slimmer blades that are geared towards cutting.
Id get loco. You got something with a hole for better fidgetability. It looks like it can cut better.

Coating wear. It’s doing fine. The edge is pretty razor sharp it has been sharpened. With the thickness behind the edge you have to keep it pretty sharp if you want to cut stuff. Good luck with your choice. You can also go check out ApostleP’s video on this knife to get a visual view of some of the negatives and mods you can make to improve the action B1012C23-266F-41E9-92E8-5F65B618D83A.jpeg 6422E886-02FF-476D-A159-7A90697D074E.jpeg

I have both and prefer the Loco.
For an all around carry the Loco is the better value.
Remember both knives could be re-scaled to be much thinner.

Nope.
I’ve made scales for both sizes of the original Presidio series (mini pictured).
But for the Presidio II series it’s been the full size only (pictured below).....so far.
