Hey Dex, or anyone else,
You know anything about these new benchmades coming out? I could probably find out at work, but I get the evil eye of doom when I dig through the new stuff.
Thanks,
mo

Hey Mo! Where ya been, man? Yeah...no one wants to get the evil eye from AG or Goldie :D :p Lotsa new stuff coming our way from Oregon City. Scroll down a bit and catch the posts about the Rolling Lock. The 5000/520 series has been given an official name - Auto Presidio/Presidio. Benchmade welcomes SC based knifemaker Steve Fecas to the design team - this one I think will be a fixed blade. Over the course of the next several months we'll be introduced to the new Benchmade. Lots of changes going on in the company that will help keep them at the forefront of the specialty cutlery market. I have a brief run down of the new Red Class knives at home...guess I should post them later? :)

No, you should post them now:eek:

China? Hurmph. I guess we will have to wait and see. We have all seen real crap come out of China, but there is some great stuff being made there, too. Anyone ever get to see or handle one of the CAS Iberia/Ron Lake interframes? Lets see what happens. I dont think Benchmade would risk their reputation and start selling crap.

So Steve Fecas is joining the team? Very cool. I know my good friend Paul Basch is a big fan of his, and that really means something coming from Paul.

YES! Give us a rundown of the red line of knives! Also, if you have any more info on this push dagger thingymabob I am hearing about, let me know!!

Thanks Dex, you da man!

China make good knives now. You know Taïwanese & Japanese start knives factories in China and they bring the modern technology.

Mo - here is a run down of the Red Class knives:

10200 Ambush™/10210 Mini Ambush - I already posted about these folders - the ones with the Rolling Lock.

10400 Pika™/10410 Mini Pika - Lightweight lockbacks with a pocket clip.

10300 MonoChrome™ - An integral lock [Remember the old 750 Pinnacle integral lock? They called it a monolock] folder with skeletonized handles and a deep belly N690 steel blade

10500 Rant™ Bowie - has an integral guard and a deep finger recess for comfort and control.

10505 Rant DPT - fixed blade with a polished pommel, deep finger recess, and ballistic nylon belt sheath.

10510 Gamer™ - Fixed blade boot knifewith a large finger guard and contoured scales for grip comfort.

Notice also that the Red Class knives have a 5 digit model number. The Blue Class has the traditional three digit model number and the Black Class has the four digit model numerical designation.

More info and pics of the Red Class knives as I receive them in the future.

Thanks, Dex. Im really looking forward to these new benchmades, I told a coworker about them and I think he is about to mess his pants. I like BM, he has a fetish. Scary.

BTW- AG wanted me to say hi to you for him.

Chef Neil is cooking up sumptin' good. Ah ga-ron-TEE! :D

Mo - Please give AG and Goldie my best!

I handled a couple of the proto 'red' knives at a show that one of the BM reps attended.

Feel pretty good actually. The framelock is really solid.+

The rolling lock folders don't appeal to me though. Just seems like half an axis lock!

isn't Dr Lathe working on a prodo framelock mini skirmish with BM? hehehe :D

[posted to entice the good Dr to come out, dispel the rumours and tell all! hehe]

never heard nothing bout no mini skirmish with BM....

though it would be nice... this would be nicer
