I was reading in another tread that the bilton they have has a butt cap on the handle, mine does not. So my question is how far does the tang go into the handle of the ones that do not have a butt cap? I will want to use it for some light to medium prying in my work, but if it will not hold up do to a short tang I don't want to risk it. Thanks!!!

The ones that don't have a full length tang peened down onto a buttplate/washer are partial tang knives. Fine knives for cutting with, but I couldn't recommend a whole lot of prying with them. I've used mine (all partial tang like yours) pretty rough, and never experienced a handle problem with them, but generally when I need to pry something I'll look around for a stick, screwdriver, tire tool, et cetera (if for nothing else, to keep from boogering up my edge, or cutting myself while prying on something).
If you really need a small, stout, knife that'll better stand up to occasional "pry bar" duty, check out the JKM-1. Tough little boogers, slab scale handles, and a full width full tang with an added buttplate that's peened onto the handle by way of a tang extension. Spine thickness of the blade varies slightly (I like 'em thin, better slicers), so if you want a really thick one, you might e-mail Yangdu and ask her what she's got.

Here's the JKM-1
