New BK-10 Crewman Dilemma..

Hi all. First post here, but I'll get right into it. I purchased a brand new Camillus/Becker BK-10 Crewman from a gun show 2 weeks ago for 70 bucks (cheap, I know.. lucky me! =]). It also is not the recent LE version. My Dilemma is this: I really want to use it.. but I understand it's a bit of a collectors item. What should I do?!? Is it worth holding onto it in new condition and just buying a useable replacement? Or do I follow my heart and use it like it was meant to be used?? Thank you for any input!

I say use it! It's what it was made for., or sell it to me! LOL :p

just give it to me ill use it and you will never have to think of to use or not to use again

Thank you for your suggestions. I am, however, considering buying a Doug Ritter RSK Mk2 Perseverance to use instead. Any thoughts?

also.. Sorry that the topic appears misleading.. "New BK-10 Crewman" is not what I thought the topic would read. Didn't realize the "Dilemma" part would be cut off.

I say either use it, or sell it and use the funds to buy a user. If you aren't a collector - and I get the impression you aren't - then why keep one that is just going to sit there and make you feel guilty?

Well.. problem solved I guess. I just ordered the RSK MK2 Perseverance to use as a user. The BK-10 just looks so dang nice, and knowing I'd never be able to own another one that looks like that again, I just couldn't bring myself to use it. I am a small time collector.. very small time. I own 6 Mora's (3 users and 3 new condition) 2 of which are the Bushcraft Force's, a Condor Bushlore, the BK-10, and a Cold Steel Pendleton mini hunter to piggy back onto the BK-10.. soon to be an owner of the MK2 =] But hey, everyone has to start somewhere! Who knows, in 5 years, I might own 50 knives.. maybe even one that costs 200 bucks!! *Guilty confession* last night, while researching the MK2, I sat there and held and admired the BK-10 for a solid hour. I know knives are about 90% personal preference.. and I absolutely love that knife. It fits my hand perfect, the weight is perfect, the thickness is perfect, and for a thick knife it is pretty f'n sharp. Here's to hoping I'll like the RSK MK2 half as much! Thanks again for your input all. I am happy to have a place where I can talk knives with other knife enthusiasts.. even with my amateur status! =]
