Hi I Just bought this On E bay and it is not stamped like I see the ones on here. Is it legit. I been chopping with it and it's a beast. Seems like the real thing.

That's the real deal alright!
The new version is laser etched.
They're not roll stamping them anymore.

Yep. Looks like you got one of the new production 9's. Kabar stopped stamping the kabar & Becker logos and started laser etching them like the one you've got. But if your still not sure send it my way and I'll check it out for ya.:p
 
Thanks for the quick response. Look forward to using it and maybe modding it but time will tell. So far only grip tape but I have seen some good ideas on here. Choil or no choil? That"s the big ? for me.
 
People do all sorts of mods to the BK9, In my opinion the new laser etching logo are probably better, the old way of stamping blades my induce stress fractures, I have never seen a Becker or Ka Bar failure from it, but it with time the laser etching might go away with use, Ontario still stamps blades I think, on the some what new Spec Plus Gen 2 stuff it all laser etching, I think that was due to Dan Maragni, I have the SP 50, she's a beast, you should check it out, you can snag one for under 80.00 US dollars, and its 5160 Steel, IMO is better for a large chopper than 1095cv, anyways, the whole BK line of knives is an amazing value, have fun chopping!
 
Yup its real. Beat on it as much as you want it will take it.
