Man, Will, that's a NICE knife! I don't have lots of disposable income, so I buy knies that I KNOW I'm going to like and use. This is about the only knife that I could think of replacing my Campanion with. The ONLY *complaint* I have with my Campanion is that the tip isn't fine enough to make the belly slice on small game, but the new blade has a perfect tip. And the BK&T handle is the best I've held, yet you managed to make it better by the inclusion of a hammer "pommel" on the 7 inch. And that thumb ramp is absolutel perfection, just the right spot, and I find that thumb ramps are great for all sorts of field work. All this, and the sheath is ambidextrous. :~} Definitely going to be saving my pennies so that I can hang one of these on my belt. Really well-done knife and sheath!
And I love the blade steel. My Campanion is the easiest "big blade" I have ever sharpened. With very little work I can get (and more importantly, maintain) a shaving-sharp edge.
