The new BK10 arrived today. What an awesome knife. And that’s my assessment with just holding it. I haven’t used it for anything yet other than for catching my drool. I’m already thinking of the BK16. My wife is gonna kill me.

Congrats on the new steel man. Believe me, it's the start of an addiction. ;)

Also, welcome to the forum, glad to have you here.
Thank you! I’ve enjoyed browsing here and reading about your Becker’s. I’m sure it’s not my last Becker after seeing what he’s got to offer. Like I said, that BK16 is on my brain. I’ve got a couple other Ka-Bars, various Bucks and a Spyderco. Not a blade connoisseur by any means but I know what I like and Ka-Bars, Bucks and now Becker’s seem to be high on my list. I love my one Spyderco. It’s a nice knife and really well made but for some reason I don’t browse their website and think “I want that one, and that one, and that one...” and I am in no way shape or form putting down Spyderco!

Lots of good knives out there, for sure. I Googled survival knives, and the BK2 kept popping up. That's what led me to this forum. Never looked back. Great knives. The 16 is a popular choice, for sure. The new BK62 is popular as well. Of course, as the saying goes around here, "You can't not have a 9." The BK9 is a hell of a blade, and my most used by a long shot.

Might I recommend seeing if your wife wants one too? The tweeners, like the 16, would make a nice blade for someone with smaller hands, so get 2 (assuming your wife has traditionally smaller hands like most ladies). The bk14 is also a nice one for smaller hands.

We like pics ;)

Here’s a few photos. Nothing you haven’t seen before for a stock 10 but at least this one is mine. :)

Excellent choice cupton; great to have ya in the Becker family! You'll love the Bk-16 when you get one, it's a "perfect for most every job" knife that will endear itself to you with every use. And, I gotta join Dubz in recommending the BK-9; it's my favorite of all the Beckers, I have four of them alone at last count. "Long Live The KING!"

My modified BK10

The BK-2 was my first and I immediately moved next to the tweeners (BK-15, BK-16) and then to the BK-14/BK-24. Hope you enjoy your BK-10.

Good solid selection for a can do about any task multi-tool knife.

I never got the BK10 because of WAY to MANY knives I got in that size. But for me the BK2s were really needed, short hard working jack of all trades yet may not be master of none but it sure can near master them all.

Ordered the BK16 last night. Should have it tomorrow. I need to stop now. That’s 4 knives in a month! My wife is definitely going to kill me. Tell the world my story.

You're supposed to order all 4 at once to make sure you get the free shipping ;). It also means only one shipping box that arrives so it doesn't appear like there's a steady stream of knife boxes coming in.

Or, the Bk16 could be the wife's :D. Would make her a fine hiking/camping/kitchen/keep the husband in check kind of knife. Just saying, it's a nice most-purpose designed knife.

While excellent suggestions, she’s not much for the outdoors. She’s got her own set of kitchen knives we paid an arm and leg for and any cooking outside the kitchen is on me. It’s my BK16 and not hers. I’ll own up to it if. If she finds out! ;)

Taking the "hide the hobby" routine. I can understand that. Here's another secret then. If you buy multiples of the same knife, it's as if you only have one of them as long as she doesn't see you carrying seven of them at one time. You just move it around a lot.

You're welcome

Wonder if I could carry 7 BK9’s? That would be interesting to see. Maybe I’ll just buy one and start there. For Christmas though. That’ll be my next Becker. Already on the Amazon list.

And in all seriousness, my wife knows everything I buy. It’s an ongoing joke between us actually that I buy stuff I can’t return (like guns and ammo) and she buys 30 of something to find out which version she of it she likes best and returns the other 29. It’s all good.

Pairing a BK 10 with a BK 9 will cover a lot ground needs wise.

Still get more if you want, tell her you entitled to as many knives as she has kitchen knives. Really next is the Gateway Becker is the BK2, then the BK7 oh and don't forget the tweeners...
