This is my first attempt at making knife scales so go easy on me. I wanted scales for my BK11 but didn't feel like spending 30 bucks. So what did I end up doing? spending 20 bucks on my own material. Didn't save much but I guess I can have something that's unique. I love how it turned out except for the screws. They look cheap. I should have used rivets but I don't know what I was thinking. One thing hat was nice was that when I was finished, it still fit perfectly in the sheath. I still plan on sanding it with some course grit paper then polishing it up but for now it's late. Enjoy the pics.

That's a good effort.
I think brass would match the scales better, that's just my taste.

Looks good, better than my first attempt at scales.
I'd suggest cutting down the bolts a bit so that they don't come past the nuts. Probably wouln't need more than a few seconds on a grinder.

Not the prettiest scales in the world but they defiantly look functional and that's all that really matters

I think I saw these on instagram :D I personally love it. I love the rough look, very nice!

I got around to sanding them. Took about 100 grit then 600 grit and then 1200.

New sheath I made last night.
Oh, i also got brass screws like someone suggested. It does look better. I still need to grind the screws down a bit
