I know there is another thread for the serrated BK11 on Amazon right now, but I was just looking at the knife and noticed that the sheath is different, and I'm not just talking about the color. Take a look:

Instead of the Tanto shape that the BK11 currently has, this looks much more fitted. Does this solve any of the BK11 sheath "problems" people are so fond of talking about?

Does anyone have any more info on this? Toooj? Ethan? First this knife slips out under the radar, and now this? What kind of Beckerheads are we?

This is the sheath that came with my BK11CSM I ordered a few months ago. It is the same for another BK11CSM I have also seen.

This is certainly a new one that Tomar's also seems to be showing for the BK11CSM they are selling.

sqoon, the bk14 I ordered last week from a german reseller also has the drop-point sheath instead of the tanto one. If you really want that sheath, i'll send it to ya as soon as I get my kydex done. I don't like it, it's far too bulky.

The BK11, BK14 and the BK11sg, will fit in that sheath. That is the new sheath that Toooj was talking about in a thread earlier this year, or late last year. No rattle, and the lock is better. Good stuff.

Oh thanks, now I just noticed the rattle in mine :grumpy:
Is there an anti-rattle trick? Should I just fold a few slices of salami into the sheath?

I just received 3 Eskabars last week(one for me and 2 for gifts). I noticed a major difference in the sheath retention......so much so that I couldn't get the knife to go into the sheath at first! I got bit once with my bk11 so I usually hold it by the rivet above the handle and away from the blade. I tried that with the bk13 and there was no way it was going in! I was wondering if something was defective so I opened the other 2 and sheaths were the same. I finally ended up putting the knife in as far as I could and putting the sheath down on my desk and pushing down on the knife. It finally locked in.
It has loosened up considerably with more unsheathing and resheathing the knife but it still holds quite firmly and there isn't a lot of rattle(not that it bothers me if there is as long as the knife is sufficiently retained). Just thought I'd share my experience with the sheath(which happens to be one of the new sheaths too......I just noticed a few minutes ago). Take care y'all! :)
