New BK14

I gave away my BK14 and missed it quite a bit so I got another one yesterday from the mailman:

Got the TDI clip to try out this time. So far I like it.

I did a simple wrap. I think I like the feel of the Zytel scales better though. May put them on eventually. Thanks for looking.

I finished the wrap by looping it around the outside then cinched it tight. Trimmed and melted the ends making as small a knot as possible and then I tucked it into the space between the handles. Nothing fancy really just improvised a bit. This was my first attempt at cord wrapping. I watched a how-to video on youtube.
 
Congrats on the 14. Do you have a light box? If so what kind. Or do you just use paper?

Paper. And my camera was crappy + took the pictures in low light @ 700am. Think I should have just used my iPhone it has a better image processor. I turned the photos B&W and adj. the bright/contrast. I could have gone more extreme.
 
I love my bk14. Carry it with me everyday. But I would get it out of that sheath. The factory sheath will dull the knife. Virtuovice on YouTube does a great video on it. Enjoy the blade, fantastic design.

I'm trying to decide what kind of sheath I want right now and what kind of scales I'm going to be running. I really like the zytel feel better then a cord wrap. I could wrap it better but think I'm just going to put slabs back on it. This is going to be my EDC so I may go with a small and light kydex rig with a belt clip. I think I like the idea of having a clip but I can't say for sure because I've never used a sml or lrg tek-lok before.
 
Azwelke or godspeed make great kydex sheaths for these
 
Love the BK14, I have two. The first one I bought and did a double wrap on to fill my hand better. The second one only cost me some chest hair and my dignity. I want to get the ka-bar scales for that one. I got a used TDI clip from amazon but it doesn't hold very well. Think I need to tweek it a bit and get some more tension.
 
Love my BK14 also . Liked mine better with some Izula scales ( hated the T.D.I. clip though & chucked it ... ):D Congrats !!!
