Bought new BK15 and tried stippling it for the first time on FDE scales. Carrying him whole last week instead of folder and it's perfect.
No problem even with the short pants, sheats goes directly to the right pocket and handle is under the shirt.

Turned out very nice. What did you use? Great set of blades you've got as well. The 15 is brilliant, wait till you tackle a steak with it.

Mkabar,

Very nice stippling work and a fine family photo. I think you are the 1st from the Czech Republic on the forum? Warm welcomes!

Nice work brother! I bet that adds some nice traction when using. Regarding the KABAR F/U, is that a CUTCO version or is that the D2 Extreme Fighter? I have a feeling it's the CUTCO due to the lack of serrations but when I zoomed in I could only see KABAR on the ricasso. Look forward to seeing more from you Mkabar!

Hey MKabar.....

First, a big welcome to you !!!!!....... That is a nice stippling job and I like the pics........ Hope you stick around and I look forward to seeing more posts from you......

I really like this, well done. Did you use any form of masking to maintain the straight edge between stippled, and non-stippled?

Hey guys, I am not a new guy, I just wasn't here for some time (last half of a year, lack of time, sorry).
Mr. Becker, I am that guy, who invited you to the IWA 2015 in March. I will send you links with some pictures from it. I suppose you were not there.
I don't use any masking, it was done by free hand. It is not too mutch hard to follow the natural line of the handle. Next time I will try to stipple my BK2.
Handles are little bit too smooth for me. Any tips for good material for some liners? I need some red liners for my BK9, I want the handle to be thicker like on BK2 with thicker blade.

Regarding the KABAR F/U, is that a CUTCO version or is that the D2 Extreme Fighter?

It's original 1222 Next Gen (no D2, that has a darker blade and only with serrations), version without serrations and with kydex sheat. Bought from Poland two years ago - last available piece in whole Europe.
I bought it finally (after ower 14 years) after I find out, that production was stopped in 2011. It was a must have to my little collection.
This is the knife, which I had on wallpaper on my computer in IT class back in 1999. It was my favourite knife back then (i was 15 at that time, I didn't known anything better, I know this knife from a czech guns magazine).
Since then, everyone in high school call me Kabar as a nickname because of the big sign on the Wallpaper with the Next Gen Ka-Bar.
Funny thing, many people thinks, that I have custom writing on some of my knives when they sees it, because they doesn't know Ka-Bar knives but they know my nickname :-).
And second interesting thing - two years ago I discovered, that in some small town in Czech, right next to my town (3-4 miles), there is a street called Kabar's street (Kabarova ulice in Czech) -
I really don't understand. There isn't such a word in Czech. Even any similar word. It's a complete mystery how they name the street with this word :-).

Very nice. My 15 is very similar and nearly the perfect knife.
