New BK2, sheath strap problem

I didn't have this problem on my BK2 but I did have it on my Heavy Warthog. Most people ditch the belt loop anyway since it's next to useless but Ka-Bar will make it right if you want to use it.
 
Yes, I have had this on ALL Ka-Bars right out of the box. The good thing is nylon stretches a little bit. I think this is as designed. It is hard to tell how short the snaps are from the picture, but all of my snaps were a little short.

What I did was, finally get them snapped together, with the knife in and let is sit overnight. Then after this the nylon should have stretched to the handle size. If there really is a mistake and these are really too short to even snap together, even very tightly, contact the Ka-bar customer support. I had a different sheath issue and they sent me a new one right away!
 
Your knife isn't all the way into the sheath. Look at the guard, It's visible above the mouth of the sheath, when it should be in the sheath. The guard snaps into the sheath. If you push it all the way down, the keeper strap should fit.

Sometimes the sheaths are Tight out of the box. But I promise that it will fit.

Or did you have to remove, adjust and reattach that strap button?

Push the knife till it snaps into the sheath. Then the strap will snap together nicely.
