I got this in the mail today. Big thanks go to Guyon and Moose. Here is the BK24 (it says the D'eskabar on the box):
My first impressions are that this is a very high end knife. The finish is very nice and the new laser etch just "fits" the BK24 style well. I can tell you right away that this is going to become a favorite of mine in the kitchen/camping with food. All the grinds are square and everything is perfectly aligned and the only really visible grind marks are on the spine and not noticeable. The knife feels very "clean" probably because of the D2 steel and the fact it has never been coated. I'm very excited to add this blade to my EDC rotation for a while (I usually carry a 1095 BK14) and see how it performs on my 5 day beach camping trip next month.
Here is my BK14 and BK11 next to the BK24 (I added orange handles scales...need some SS hardware to match the shiny new blade).
