So, I picked this up off thE bay. I just recently got a new BK7 that will be a user but saw this new in box BK7SG (Government version) and figured WTH. I know most people (myself included) are not crazy about serrations especially on large fixed blades but I mainly picked this up because I have not seen one for sale before and figured it is somewhat of a different, collectable knife that I would hold on to. I did a search of the BK7SG and saw some threads from 5 years ago where Guyon was in the search of and finally found one. check out some pics. thanks for looking.

Nice find. Looks to have an interesting coating on it and I like that spec-ops sheath with the camillus tag on it.
 
It's definitely interesting...I've never seen a partially serrated BK7. I don't think I'd get one because I don't see myself using it for anything and I use all of my knives...but it's a cool collectible piece. Serrations are just really not my cup of tea.

Nice score.......Until just now I was blissfully unaware that such a blade existed.......I have no idea(obviously) how many were made......Maybe Gibbs will chime in with some info.......Nicely done.....

military contract like the BK2SGs afaik. they weren't readily available to the public.

afaik, KaBar is making BK2SGs, and maybe BK7SGs "military and police only"...

isn't that the patented Spyderco serration pattern? mmm.
