Was checking Instagram just now and ran into this post from earlier today; anyone have any ideas on what it might be?

jstrange jstrange that was my first thought, but from this photo, it looks different to me. I could be wrong, and if I am, apologies to everyone for the third thread on this upcoming folder.

Wow the pic had me confused. I didn’t even realize the blade was in the picture. Wonder what that funky tread pattern is on the blade?

I didn't notice the "traction" on the blade until you mentioned it and I looked at it again.

Still waiting on some more info on this. I agree with others on the look - my guess is an 808-1?

Very cool. S30v? Very uncool. I think it is a neat idea and it has often been stated that two handed opening method is the recommended way to open a folding knife for defensive use. I think it is a cool knife though.

However with the invention of the wave and wave substitutes I find that for me to consider a folding knife to be barely appropriate for self defense use it needs that wave. Partucularly the peg shaped wave which seems to be the most effective at working every single time. Sadly I have seen it on a total of ONE knife despite it not being patent protected and it being removable.

I think this Aileron is a pretty cool knife though. Just saying I think it is almost negligent for a modern tactical folder not to have a wave of some sort.

ETA: Btw 737? Is that name a clue? Will there be a bigger 787 on the way?
