Hey Guys...

For those of you who don't know Eric Elson,,keep an on on this young Buck..He's making some fine looking blades...

Eric is our youngest member of the Canadian Knifemakers Guild, and believe just finished his probation this year....

Unfortunately I don't have a picture of the knife..Actually don't want to show the knife, as the customer hasn't seen it yet...

The knife comes in at about 9" OAL.Flat ground with skeletonized handles..Ble G-10 scales, with stainless pin and thong holes..

The blade has a slight recurve to it....Real nice lines..

Eric..I've worked on quite a few of your blades,,and this is the absolute finest knife I've seen you make...
I hope you have the pattern ready for Lazer cutting..I can see you'll be making a few of these babies!!!

Matter of fact...I'd like to put my order in Right Now...So get Grind'N my boy....:)

To Dale,, the customer who ordered the knife,,all I can say is...

Naa Naa,,Na Na Naa!!! I've got your blade and you don't!!! LOL:)

Man,,,, are you gonna like this blade...

Eric..
All I'm gonna say to you is,,,,, Sweeet!!
Nice job dude....

I'll take mine Exactly the same Please..:)
I'll e-mail you about it...

Pictures to follow...

ttyle

Eric...

Now hold on a minute! That knife is mine!!!!! It is my design (with a bit of input from Eric) and you will have to ask me nicely if you want Eric to make another like it!!!:D

Just kidding!!!!;)

I have seen the knife at various stages throughout it's creation but not in it's current state of completion. I'm glad you like it Eric. Since you get to handle such a large variety of blades, I take it as a compliment that you find it so appealing. Just remember to send it back!:)

BTW, I sent you an e-mail about a week ago, did you get it?

Can't wait to see those pics. I don't even know if I'm getting a black sheath or the CF. I hope it's the CF.

Dale.

Now this is just plain cruel :o You tell us about a gorgeous Elson knife, describe what sounds like a beauty, and then tell us we can't see it and, worse, it's sold:eek:
Nice guy, Eric N. :p
You're almost as mean as that Busse fellow. Must be rubbing off;)

Funny posts :) ...and yes..Eric does do fine work...certainly the best is to come!

I talk to Eric Elson on ICQ, he is a cool guy, and I have learned a good deal from him (thanks man!).

His knives, (altho I've never handled one just seen pictures) are SWEET, and once I've got myself into financial chape to pick up one of his blades I plan on it.

Cant wait to see pics of this beauty that Normark is talking about.

And yeah man...thats just plain cruel...I came her to see purdy pichures! So hurry up :p

I've got a nice little Elson, sort of like a fixed-blade Carson Model 4, in O-1 steel - SHARP!! sharpest blade I own, nice balance & "feel." Grinding of edge is imperfect, but it's an earlier knife, & a great bargain. And the Normark sheath - best kydex/concealex sheth I've had on any knife. Quality is subtle, it speaks softly but very clearly.

I'll show you mine if you show me yours . . . . .

Nice pic Dale :)

This has been such a fun Project for me. Its really cool to be able to work Closely with a customer to help them get exactly the knife they want.To me this is what knifemaking is all about.

I dont know how many plastic templates we went through before we decided on this one :)

Thanks for the opportnity to make this knife.

Regards

Eric

Keith, this was the first time I used blue G-10.

The handle is Bead blast textured, like I normally do to G-10. When I first Blastedit I was disappointed because my nice bright blue handle was very dull looking. Then I rememberd a secret sauce( WD40..:) ) someone once told me to use to get G10 to look its best. Now its super bright.

Regards

Eric

Great looking knife Eric. That's one you could shrink down and make a cool necker out of as well.:)

Blue G10, eh? Nice stuff!!! eric, hows that Fusion Fighter comin along???

Eric, I always like your blades... and that one is no exception... very nice. :D

As always, look forward to speaking with you again soon, and seeing more of your fine additions to our craft.
