New Blade Magazine- CPK on the cover!

Yeah that was a pleasant surprise. We're pretty stoked about that here. Need to get a frame for it. We were also on the cover on their Knives 2013 book, but not the main picture like this.

This is some video of Jo running that knife at a race a couple weeks ago:


There were seven women there, most took 10-20 hits two get through a 1X4. Before her run the best of the day had been nine hits. When Jo went we about lost our minds. That knife and NinJo are amazing badass. I'm very proud of all of this.

Nicole is also an amazing cutter and person. She's a legitimate athlete with some serious skill. People like her and Robin Berry have the talent and have spent the time to get very good at this. I'm a grown man with substantial cutting experience and I can't hang with these women in identical cuts. And the big guys like Chris Berry and Dan are truly terrifying in the power in their cuts. Dan is three hitting 2X6's now. Folks, that's bonkers.

Dwayne Unger has real skill. He's a much better cutter than me. But the truth is there were two substantial judging errors that gave him that win. It was recognized pretty quickly after-the-fact and in my opinion I think they should have forced the issue and gave the win to Dan and the next to James but, like a baseball game, they don't change the outcome of an event after-the-fact. There was an opportunity to address and correct the mistake during the event but Dwayne missed that opportunity. While I understand he wanted that win (the world championship) soooo bad, I'm a little peeved that Dan didn't get the win because Dan earned it. It's an unprecedented error in Bladesports and they're taking corrective action to prevent a similar problem in the future.

Bladesports is still young and small, but it's growing quickly. I'm hoping that coverage like this article helps spread its appeal. We're living in a golden age of high performance knives and this is a great community and an interesting hobby.

Is there somewhere one could read more about the competition in regards to this? Tried googling "Bladesports 2018 judging errors", but no luck :(

Nope. Nobody is talking about it. I have committed a faux pas...

I probably shouldn't have brought it up. But seeing that picture and knowing it should have been Dan pushed my button. I should drop this...
