Hello,
I am a first time poster and first time blade owner. For x-mas this year I received a Conan the Barbarian replica sword and I wish to keep it in great shape.
Here's a link to the website for the blade : http://www.swordsfromspain.com/Conan_Atlantean_Sword_by_Marto_Bronze_p/sfmaconan116s.htm
The site provides the metal type, ect... but I shall also post them below, from the site:
Features
Overall Length: 104 cms - 41 inches
Blade: Tempered Stainless Steel, hand finished, deep etching
Handle: Bronze - Rope handgrip (Could also be possibly hemp, but it seems to have a clear coat of something on it)
Full Tang
So I basically need to know how to properly keep my piece looking new. I've done some research but I think I would like guidance from somone I could speak to.I'm looking for proper polish and oil for the steel and something for the bronze parts to deter tarnishing. Also if anyone knows what clear coating is over the rope/hemp handle. I'm guessing places like Canadian Tire would carry the products I'm looking for if anyone knows any of the products there or similar.
Thank you for taking your time to help out a starting blade collector.
