New blade steel availability!?

Hello!

I am constantly checking various websites from cold steel.com to Knife Center in the US, and as a UK resident am wondering are the models in Carpenters XHP now beginning to filter through!? I realise that the majority of the knives in XHP do seem to be available mostly on the official website and Knife Center are still showing as being on back order? I am very keen to get my mitts on a Mini Recon 1 and was curious can anyone let me know if they have bought one since their release, and if so is it a significant improvement over the older Aus8 version? As I really do need a good EDC folder and have made my mind up a newer Cold Steel is the one I want!
 
It's taking some time for specific models to transition over to the new steels. The xl and regular sized recon 1's are mostly available as far as I can tell, but the mini's might be taking a little longer to trickle out. Same goes for the voyagers. The xls are out there, but the large sized are not available yet. It's just a matter of time before they all hit shelves. Maybe the cold steel rep who posts here can give you a better idea when though.

I too saw they were shipping from Knife Center but with the cost of shipping and potential issues at customs, I think I will wait for retail availability to arrive here the UK!
