for a Spyderco titanium salsa. Can anybody do it for a fee? ATS34 is okay but I prefer something better like SV90 or..Somebody jump in and tell me what, how, why?? :foot: I really like the knife and want to edc.

Kinda pricey, but you should be able to find a knifemaker/customizer to do it. After all, with enough money you can get about anything.

The Salsa is AUS8, isn't it. What's wrong with that for daily carry?

I use my green salsa with the AUS8 and it is okay. I am getting a tiatnium handled one with an ATS34. Most of my knives are either VG10 or S30V. How good is ATS34 compared to VG10 or S30V?

AT34 is premium steel (it's the same thing as the 154cm used on a lot of the premium Benchmades), and Spyderco is excellent with edge geometry and heat treats.

Try Mr. Weiland. I hear he does great work. May take a hefty bit of funding, but with money anything is possible.

ATS-34 is a great steel. It has a lot less chipping issues(in my experience) that the new supersteels. But on a blade that small, chipping shouldn't be an issue anyway. You're not going to be chopping concrete with it.

S90V is pretty expensive though, especially if you're going to have the blade fit into a compression lock. Not an easy thing to do.

Good luck.

Thanks, Scott! This is just a thought. I will try the knife for a while and see. Waiting for yours. I am, right now, using a green handled salsa with AUS8. I like it!
