This is my first thread, normally other people post some pictures of my work, but this time I’ve tried it myself.

The first is a axe made out of a peen hamer/pinball hammer. Shaft is hickory.

The next one is a viking dagger with a damascus blade. Guard and butt out of bronze and nickel silver. The handle is made out of bone and de sheath is Turkish walnut with silver.

The third is a fantasy dagger with a damascus blade. Handle is made out of old mild steel (200 years old), black ebony and ivory. The butt is carved out of mild steel.

WOW

Nice ALL.
Especially the Viking Dagger

Not sure who you are by your screen name.

Very nice work Gudy. (of course I've already seen some of your work on weapons.be)

Very nice, i still like the axe and the last two knives the most. Just like i wrote on weapons.be a couple of minutes ago ;)

I'll leave the ID'ing to the man himself, but i guess there's nothing wrong in telling that he's an ace knife maker from the Netherlands...

Hi Navigator, I'm Blastmaster1972 on weapons.be.

He Keith, well my name is Gudy van Poppel and I live in the Netherlands
(Oosterhout nb). I've been making knives for 5/6 years now and have always
enjoyed damascus steel. I started out by learning forging damascus steel
from a well known Dutch smith Juul Baltessen. From then on I almost
exclusively make damascus blades. I realy enjoy making different kind of
blades, this is why I've made swords but also folders.
If you like to read more about me and see some older work, please read the
March 2006 issue of The finer edge. Toni Oostendorp (eastvillage) did a nice
article on me for this issue.

Greetings Gudy.

That is indeed an excellent article on you in The Finer Edge. There are some fantastic looking knives and swords pictured in that article.
