Hello everyone. Relative newbie to this forum here, who at age 64, just bought his first ever scandi blade knife. Have a lot of knives, but not one like this before.

It is a Blind Horse Knives Bushcrafter with black micarta handle. Nice leather sheath made by JRE Industries for BHK. Came to me scary sharp; moreover, it fits my hand well. Tested it a bit with some feathersticks, the obligatory paper cutting, some baton work, and a few other tasks.

The pic shows my new family member along with its siblings, including my beloved Tri-EDC flashlight and my Kimber Stainless Target II in 10mm. I scored some nice ironwood grips off of Ebay some time back for my Kimber.

Got the knife from the-knife-connection.com. Good service there and I would buy from him again. FYI, my reason for getting the knife was from a video by Adam at Equip2Endure on Youtube where he interviewed the guys from BHK.

Probably will need to take out another job to pay for my future purchases!

Blessings to all,

Nice man. I got a couple in flat grind. Fantastic knife. I managed to get mine with slightly thinner handles.

Good for you! Very nice addition to your collection. I have that very same Kimber in 10mm. I have several 10mm and you could say that I am a huge fan of that caliber. I have been eyeballing the BHK bushcrafter for some time now. I think you just pushed me over the edge
Cheers

Hi BaldingEagle. I have two other pistols in 10mm: Ruger SuperBlackhawk Buckeye edition with two inter-changeable cylinders for 10mm and 38-40; and the other a SW Model 1006. Since I handload, I like the versatility of 10mm --- from S&W 40 level up to nuclear loads that are at the lower end of 41mag. Or, if I am too lazy to handload, I go with Doubletap ammo.

Most of the time, depending, though, I carry a Kahr CW9 in my Maxpedition Jumbo EDC manbag for lower weight factor.

Now my new knife compliments my other toys!

Congrats on your purchase! BHK makes a nice knife and the Bushcrafter is my favorite.

Congrats on that goodlooking knife. Blind Horse Knives are great. I have a Boattail Scandi from BHK that's one of my favourite small fixed blade knives.
