i bought a blur last night and man what a machine! i really like the speed of opening and overall feel of the knife, and shaving sharpness, but the trac-tec inserts eat at the back of my hand every time i reach in my pocket. i've read that they can be replaced but don't know with what- can anyone offer suggestions?

Some people have used carbon fiber, wood, smooth silver-twill g-10, etc etc. If you wanted to tame the traction down, (and void the warranty still) you could smooth down the ridges using a soldering iron. :)

thanks for the suggestions. i was thinking some other rubber-ish stick on stuff but i might go the soldering iron route for simplicity. i'm not real concerned about the warranty as i plan to mod the knife :)
