Hi all. I am eagerly anticipating this knife. I have noticed in the new Spyderco site that the handle color is leaf-green.
This surprised me, since a few weeks back I read the late and great James Mattis's (may he rest in peace) post where he included two pictures of this knife (open and closed) which featured an olive-green colored handle. See for yourself:

Personally, I prefer the olive-green color, since it generally goes better with clothing colors, and does not attract as much attention. The model he pictured was probably a prototype or pre-mass production model. Still, the leaf-green makes sense in that the blade itself is described as leaf-shaped. So, the handle color is appropriate with this description.

My questions are:

1) Whether this knife with the olive-green handle will also be sold, or whether it was just limited to this early version?

2) Which color do you guys prefer? Olive-green (old model) or leaf-green (new model)?

Thanks!

Hi Flood. There has only been one protoype. All pics (even James) have been of the one pc.

There never was an olive green version. It's more of an emerald green.

Looks as if the subtle color shift is due to the individual scans/scanners/digital cameras used. A color choice would be nice- but I'd be more than happy with the green...
