Has anyone else seen the new Boker Plus Armed Forces Tantos.

They have two sizes of folders and a fixed blade version.

Here's a link: http://www.knivesplus.com/bokerknivesbokerplus.html

The first two knives on the page are the folders in question and the fourth is the fixed blade.

They look strikingly like someone has set a CRKT M16 blade into a Strider handle. An interesting knife, granted, but I can't help thinking that it's not very original.

I have both of them, the folder and fixed balde. For the cost, they are an extremely good buy.
So how do you define "original". There are 1000's of similar models all over.
This has been posted and debated many times before, no sense in starting another flame war.
Or post it in the "Whine & Cheese" forum.
Let it be ....

Honestly, I hate this design. What's up with all of the STEEL grooves on the handle? It would shred your hand. I had the same problem with the United Cutlery HD fixed blade; great blade design but an absolutely horrible handle (and I held one). This is in the same category...actually, it's not. The American tanto blade is not that great. It's a pain in the a$$ to sharpen in the middle of the woods, and I have learned to dislike it over the years (just like extreme recurves). For combat, great; for anything else...find somethng else! And that handle...good God! Just my opinion.
