I just got my copy of Wayne Goddard's new book. The $50.00 Knife shop, good book for the beginner and some good tips for the guys the guys that have been doing it for a while.

Building forges grinders and vises are covered, also making wire rope damascus.

I have/had some birthday money and Christmas money that keeps getting spent on bills and keeping shoes on the kids. I replace it when we get some extra money. I think I'll order that book and "The Wonder of Knifemaking" before the septic tank people give me an estimate on replacing my drainfield! -Guy Thomas

Wayne's "$50 Knife Shop" series in Blade Magazine is what got me really interested in making knives. Of course I surpassed the $50 mark long ago and still only have a few of the basics. Guess I should have read those articles a little more carefully.
