This is a piece I finished yesterday. Its destiny is to be on display at the National Knife Museum. As most everyone here probably knows, the Museum is housed at Smoky Mountain Knifeworks in Sevierville, TN.
I was very honored to have been asked to donate a piece to the museum, and I'll deliver it in a couple weeks to the Blade Show in Atlanta. The blade is 7 1/2 " of feather-pattern damascus steel. Overall length is 12 1/4". The fittings are sculpted damascus with a file-worked German silver spacer behind the guard. The scales are Wooly Mammoth ivory. It's an art knife and may not appeal to all tastes, but is is comfortable in the hand, balanced, and cuts like a light sabre! My crummy photo so please don't be harsh.
Cheers,
