Lot of first here, first blued steel gaurd, first time useing ebony, first throught and tip sheath. Took me a while but I finaly got it together. I should call it the Bruce bowie, Bruce showed me how to do the metal sheaths and give me the idea for this sheath. Also the gaurd was made by way of his tutorial on the CKD.

7 1/2" from point to gaurd, 5" mortised ebony handle, blued 1018 steel gaurd, L-6 blade forged from 3/4" round bar and hand rubed to 1500 grit.

nice firsts I like it.:D over all lines of the knife and sheath complement each other too.:)

Will, now that's my kind of knife! Fantastic! You didn't miss a trick, and its overall lines are just perfect. You should be patting yourself on the back all day, you deserve it. I hope you're going to keep this one for your portfolio!

Great Bowie! Sounds like alot of fun with all the "firsts". Has class written all over it. If you don't mind me asking, where do you find L-6 in round bar?

Way to go Will....She is a Beauty,Glad I could help you out some on the firsts,But I bet you had to do allot of figuring out on your own also..

You got that right Bruce! Lets see- three gaurds, two tips for the sheath, second handle for the knife. It was frustrating, but a lot of fun. The first two gaurds were too larg and the first tip for the sheath was perfect untill the buffer bounced it off the celing and put a nice big dent in it, the first handle was going to be mortised bone but I didn't like the look of it so I thought I'd try ebony.

I learned a lot from it, but it nearly drove me mad!
