New Bowie.

Here, is one i just finished up. I was really inspired by Don Fogg's demo at Josh's hammerin. this blade was forged as close to shape as i am able and then draw filed and hand finished. no grinder. the over-all design is taken from Wade Colter. it is my rendition of what he calls a Montana Toothpick. ladder pattern blade 8" long with a n/s blade collar with n/s guard african blackwood handle with a n/s ferrule and n/s endcap. let me know what ya'll think. there was allot of new techniques i used in this knife as well as some skills i hadn't tried yet like the ferrule and blade collar.

Actually no it didn't Bruce, it was fun to do i am not sure how it would be doing a knife with a ricasso in this fashion but i will be doing this style more in the future. Wade has been bending my ear on the difference between the american and english bowies and design differences. Kevin, i hope to have this one with me at San Antonio so i look forward to your critique of it there.

I can't really say as to my thoughts i am still learning but if you have and hour or two give Wade Colter a call. If you have never talked to Wade lets just say that he has an opinion on this subject.
