New Box Cutters

Anyone seen the new box cutters on AG Russell's web catalog?

Gotta get me one before I go back to work, they look awsome.

Anyone out there have one I'ld like to here about it.

Ah, but what are you going to use to open the box that your box cutter comes in? Sort of a chicken-and-the-egg problem...

Guy I work with has one of these, got it from Blue Press (five bucks cheaper, too) You can't switch the clip, left side only. The liner lock looks strong enough for cardboard, not much else. The studs aren't too hot either. But hey, it's just a boxcutter.

This makes me laugh! Just last week a box comes in the mail - a new Sebenza with a razor sharp edge on it. I just "happened" to bump into the FedEx courier on my way to lunch (oops). So, here I have this brand new super-nice knife, in a taped up box and no knife on me to open it...

So what did I do?

I grabbed the window scraper and with a greedy, wide-eyed, tongue-hangin-outta-my-mouth hunger I ravished this poor cardboard box...

It took forever. It was so funny. I'm sure I made a complete fool of myself in the parking lot

Of course, when my cleaver showed up (Thanks Bruce!) yesterday, I calmly and cooly tore the rascal open with my new Sebbie! whew! That was easy!

Pretty cool gadget. But. . .I'll stick with my Stanley Quick Change Utility Knife. And it only cost me $7. . .

A guy at work got one of those.It is pretty good,better made than I thought it would be.If I still worked on the docks I would probubly get one.

I prefer the good ol' dollar store model. Who(m) in their
right mind would pay $25 for a glorified box cutter?
