Back from an anniversary cruise, i just saw the new pics of Roger's new, Dan's old, Don Hanson bowie, and im kicking myself for not bugging Dan about this one when i knew he was looking to let it go.

Oh well, i'll have to be satisfied with 2 new knives inbound that i committed to just a day before i was to leave for my anniversary cruise.

The first is a 3.5" "Folding Bowie", forged carbon steel bowie style blade with sharp top clip, a distinctive temper line, amazing 3D gold engraving on a blackened bolster, amazingly colored honey-red fossil ivory, bail lock.

The next is a folding hunter. 3.25" forged damascus blade, damascus bolsters and killer Sambar stag, also a bail lock.

This is going to be a good week, even if Roger got the Hanson... :)

When I saw that those were sold, I knew it was you who had bought them :D Nice score

Both very nice pieces. That young man sure knows how to build them.

I really like the temper line on the folding bowie.

You are a lucky guy!

Another terrific pair! I'm really fond of Bailey's folding bowies - the dropped edge and pronounced clip really give the knife the look of a forged fixed blade mini-bowie. Is that one of his bale-release models (or bail -release for Holger  )? Cool hamon on that one too. And stag and damascus pretty much always work for me as well. ;)

Enjoy!

Roger

PS - Sorry the Hanson caused you such consternation. :p :p

I have never seen a knife by Bailey that I did not like and both of those are awesome. Thanks for putting those up for us.
