Well, almost.:p

I just finished fixing up my Bravo so it's not a pain to use. The knife is a bazillion times better now.
In its original condition the lock bar would dig into your index finger, and my middle finger wanted to rest right on top of those little humps behind the finger groove.
No more.:D

Hopefully the designers at Buck will get a chance to see this and make changes to the production model.

It's also a shame they had to stick that third liner in to use as the lock bar. Using one of the two beefy liners for the locking mechanism would have been much better.
Especially with this lock. NIB the liner would move almost all the way across the blade tang. If I loosen the pivot it would hit the other side.
If all that stuff would increase the price by ten or fifteen dollars, I doubt anyone would complain.
I would gladly have paid an extra fifteen dollars to have everything done properly in the first place.

Some knife there. I'm just curious and I'll once more show my ignorance, but just what is the "point" to a tanto blade? I'm not knocking them, I just don't know what that kind of blade design is supposed to be good for.

I think this is a Besh Wedge Dave but to your question...I think a tanto was designed to be an extremely strong stabbing point. Probably need to penetrate light armor back in those Samurai days.

Now I said "I think" so everybody correct me if I'm wrong.

The Besh Wedge is kind of a prying tip. It maintains full thickness all the way to the tip, without ruining the cutting ability of the blade (I presume that's also why this knife has those nice thick liners).
As you can see in the pics, the blade is fully chisel ground, one side has the primary and secondary bevels, the other side has a swedge. The great thing is that it was ground for right hand use. Unlike most chisel grinds, this knife can actually cut pretty smoothly if you're taking a slice off of something.
