I have terrible time with Titanium. I love it and can't help myself when it comes to buying anything and everything Ti. Even my USB flash drive is Ti....it really is a sickness. Being a slip joint user, it only made sense to have one with a Ti handle. I had been looking for a while and happened upon some pictures of a couple of Ti slip joints that Bret Dowell had made. I have 2 knives from Bret already so there was no hesitation in sending Bret an email about making me one. Here is the result...as usual...Bret did an outstanding job.

Sorry about the bad pics...best I could do at work.

I left out all the good details...duh. 154cm....back spring is flush in all 3 positions (open, 1/2 stop and closed). Pull is about a 6 to the pronounced 1/2 stop and then about a 7 from the 1/2 stop position to open....and it really pops open...bold for a smaller knife. I've been trying to catch a finger nail between the spring and slabs and can't. Excellent F & F.

Hi morrowj_98 -

That is sweet!

I also love Ti, and have a couple of examples.

Thanks for the pictures of a very beautiful slippie!

best regards

Dang,

It is not jigged bone, stag, mop or micarta and I love it!

Congratulations Jason and Bret.

That is a beautiful little piece:thumbup:

Comfortable, rounded and ergonomic handle, just perfect for the pocket. With Ti slabs and 154cm blade you could carry it anywhere, in any climate without any worries.

Great choice there morrow:)
(But we have come to expect a better quality of photographic excellence from your posts:D)

Wow! That is a sleek piece! It makes me think of James Bond carrying it or maybe the "most interesting man in the world" carrying it. Very cool!

Very cool!
I love modern materials applied to old-timey designs and titanium is so sexy.
Congratulations.

That is pretty cool, an old style knife with modern materials & a very modernistic look to it.

Very nice knife. I like a short-bladed knife sometimes. They look so innocent yet can do so much damage and can work hard.

It came from "Planet X"...

(Pretty cool stuff...)
