I got an email from skblades about a new Buck 110 available to pre-order. Thought hard, then decided to bite the bullet and order. I'll be a happy camper when it arrives maybe mid March. S90V blade steel, and blue carbon fiber.

Saw it and wanted it but to be honest I'd really like to see them come out with the clip point blade in some of these versions. Don't get me wrong, I've got drop point 110's and like them a lot however it seems like that makes up 99% of the models with these premium steels. Give the clip point some love too.

I have two Titans and they are awesome. I want one of these Tridents, but I'm having a hard time justifying the added cost for carbon fiber over micarta. It really looks great. Is it that much harder to manufacture?

I think it is. The cost plus tooling. G10 falls in the same category. Plus, there are respiratory hazards associated with grinding it. DM

I almost pulled the trigger on a titan, and unfortunately waited too long. $200 for a buck 110? Absolutely not. For reference my last 2 folder purchases were over $200

I prefer Micarta over just about all other handle materials. The business end is the same as the Titan and I’d rather wrap my hand around Micarta. If it were a clip point it would have been a tougher decision.

That is a gorgeous knife. I am not a big fan of S90V and am bewildered by its popularity. Just a fad, I guess. Still, if I had $200 sitting around doing nothing I might be tempted because the overall package is really nice. However, I think I'll pass.

Broke down and preordered one. Was really wanting one, but also wanting a 110 pro and an aluminum s30v 110 from copper and clad. Decided those two would probably be around long after the Trident was sold out so....

Not sure how much harder to manufacture, but boy does Buck ding on per knife cost. Bazinga.

I hear you on this. We are ordering a Buck 110 Lite this week with a clip point on it, upgraded steel. So hopefully we'll have rendition photos soon. We are throwing around yellow handles and black everything else, or Red with stonewash blade. Upgraded steel of course.

Aluminum frame and CTS-XHP or S30V blade? G10? DLC?
