New Buck Hawkbill?

A friend and I were at the April OKCA show and since then he has been talking about a hawkbill folder he saw on the Buck table. He swears he was told that it was a new release.

Since he's really new to knives, I've been searching the internet and the Buck website for this knife and I can't find anything other than the "carpet and linoleum knife" and the NRG.

Is there something else out there I'm missing?

Thanx

Tonie, Welcome . I have the 2010 Buck Dealer Catalog and it does not have a hawkbill of any kind in it . However, the 1992 Catalog lists two folders and one fixed blade with the hawkbill you mention . One is in the Selector model with a removable blade that locks and the other folder with the hawkbill is in the Guild/Workman series model which is a slip lock blade . The fixed blade model is the TLC 810 a carpet/pruning knife . Hope this helps . DM

The only Hawkbill knives I recall are the 810 TLC, the 811 which was a single blade lockback, the 812 which was a 2 blade slip joint and the 813 which was a 3 blade slip joint. Actually one blade on the 812 and 813 did lock- the screwdriver blade. The 810, 811, 812 and 813 werw all part of the Workman series. The other Hawkbill was the Selector. All of these have been out of the lineup for quite some time.
