Hi Everyone,

I am a longtime Buck Knive owner and have had the same 112 that I received in 1999 and use every day.

My questions here are very basic:

1.) One the Cabela's website the 110's listed have a 50th anniversary medallion. Do they all come in the tin?

2.) I have read on this forum, and in other places, about a set of 4 commemorative 110 knives that looked to have been issued in a series last year. For example I see these listed as for sale by AG Russell. Are these items that are desirable for collectors? I would like to start assembling a collection of Buck 110's but not sure where to start.

3.) Lastly, I see posts on this site about 110 Anniversary Knives that are being produced in a limited run of 500. They may be gone already but are they still available and from whom?

Thank you for helping me with these very basic questions!

Dave, first let me welcome you to the Buck Forum at Blade Forums - you will enjoy it here being a Buck Knife man! There were LOTS of variations of the 50th Anniversary 110 - I believe Stumps and Oregon here collected many of them - don't know if anyone got them all (I sure didn't). The 50th 110 Folding Hunters were limited and mass produced (different variations) and available at all the big sporting goods outlet store and the Mart-Mart type stores too. Some of the more limited variations were only available from single vendors. There are on-line dealers here at Blade that may still have some in stock - I know I'm still seeing them in the big box stores and gunshop/gun-shows/knife-shows as well. Check out the classifieds here too. Don't know about ALL the Cabela's knives being in tins - the ones shown here did come in tins. Good Luck - go grab a few while they are still around at everyday prices. OH

SE, welcome to the Buck part of the forums...

Hope to see you share a few pictures of your

112 or new 110's or any other Buck Knives

you buy on the Sunday Picture Show (SPS)...

:)

ItsToEarly and Old Hunter,

Thank you for the kind welcome. I just joined the Buck Knives Collector Club.

I'm not going to make this into a science project but just collect some nice Buck 110's in styles that I like. Do you collect Buck Knives?

A few days ago I also saw the program Edge of a Legend. It was really well done!

I hope to go on a factory tour some day.

When I have a Buck knife like my current 112 (which is just a regular 112) I just sense lots of quality in the knife. My wife thinks I have a problem as I just keep looking at it. :) Maybe I have issues!

I look forward to corresponding with you guys and again thanks for making me feel welcome here!

Dave
