Well...I was just waiting around this week til it happened but today it finally did. One hour ago my daughter gave me two new grandchildren...2 BOYS!!!!...Can you just imagine the fun I'm gonna have looking for knives to give to my new grandkids?...LOL...That's 3 boy grandkids now. The oldest is 2 1/2 and between he and his new brothers I'm sure to find a whole bunch of reasons to look for some Buck knives they can keep for a lifetime...That they can say..."Came from my grampa..."...LOL...:D :D :) :D...

Quick!!! There's not a moment to lose!!! Get down to Wal-mart and get two of the Commemorative 110's in the sardine cans!!! Put them in your safe until the kids are old enough to appreciate that Buck actually commemorated their birth with Special Edition knives!!! :D

Special Occasions call for Special Knives... ;)

Ah, to be born in The Year Of The Idaho... :)

DarrylS...Congratulations...you will have fun.

Trax...LMAO...get back to work on your "transition 110/112"...you made my day. Preston

Congratulations Darryl!
You're going to have a ball with those little guys! I have five grandsons, the oldest of which is 20 and a Lance Corporal in the Marines. The rest have a way to go. I've already identified several of my knives for the younger guys as soon as they get a little older, but the Marine will get a special knife when he gets back from overseas.

:) ...Thanks so much fellas. They are 7 pounds each. I can't wait til they are all grown enough to understand and appreciate the knives I'm putting away for them. I think the fun is starting aleady pjsjr, baby-sitting the 3 year old...Trax...I've done just that. Two more of the Comemorative 110's have been put away with the one I picked up for the 3 year old. I've also ordered them each a 501 from Dante's. I figured I could start 'em out with the 501 and let them work up to the 110's...LOL...Mike, I'm working on a 4th one too. May be a while for the 5th one though. I have one more daughter who is pregnant and a 13 year old that says she will NEVER have kids... ...LOL...Hey Knifecollector, how long will it take to actually get used to being called "Grandpa"..???...LMAO...:p

If it helps you get used to it, we can start calling you grandpa here. :p

No thanks Carl...;) ...LOL...I think I'll try to hold on to this "fantasy" of youth til the kids work me over with the..."hey grandpa do you remember..." type questions that I'm sure I'm gonna hear...

...and a 13 year old that says she will NEVER have kids...

You remind me of a recent conversation I had with a young mother...In the last 21 years on my mail route, I've watched the young girls grow up...from about 6 years old to 12, they come running out to pick up the mail...when they hit 13, they suddenly become Too Cool to get the mail, much less be seen running out to the mailman...I don't see them again until they're 21 or so...home again with their new kids, and once again going out with the kids to pick up the mail...

No real point to this...except that it all seems to happen so suddenly...girls I remember clearly from 20 years ago are now young mothers with their own 6 year old kids...

Where does the time go???

I hope you enjoy every minute with your children/grandchildren!!! :D

:) ...Thanks Trax...and time sure does move along and change things doesn't it??...I hope to enjoy 'em while I got 'em...:)
