I am currently at the Outdoor Retailer Winter trade show.
I passed by the Buck booth and there were some new slipjoint patterns from their Chinese product line; I saw a small toothpick and a canoe.

I went to the Bass Pro website and saw that their import 300 line is available with red woodgrain scales as a Bass Pro exclusive.

I promptly ordered a red woodgrain trapper and muskrat. :p

Are these made in the U.S., stevekt ?

The red bone ones were a set for XMASS through Wal-Marts in 2006 and Smokey Mountain Knife Works has a special run through them of all of the import line in red bone.

WOO-HOO!

I've been wanting a new Muskrat model knife and have been wondering what brand to get. I didn't know buck had an import muskrat.

Wish they would come out with a large (4 in) stockman though.

Now, were is that credit card?:D

Smokey Mountain currently has free shipping too. I don't know how much longer it will last.

So far I've got a red bone trapper on the way from SMKW, a red bone muskrat on the way back from the Buck customer service, and a red woodgrain trapper and muskrat on the way from Bass Pro. :D I already have the regular wood handled muskrat and trapper. ;)

My import Buck 300 series collection is growing nicely. :)

I have a large chinese made Buck stockman I'd give you if you're interested.

I have a 371 (love it). I guess what I'm talking about would be a "cattle king"? Little over 4 inches?

Such as: http://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/wr_case/patterns_by_number/91_105.php#94

Scroll down to model 94

Vivi, whats wrong with it:D. Seriosly, what model and how much did you want?

Sam

Nothing is wrong with it. It's the large wood grain stockman from China. The wharncliffe blade was reprofiled flat to the stone (Cuts exceptionally well this way) and there are some scratches on the other blades, but it's in great overall condition. I have a smaller D2 Queen I carry when I want a stockman in my pocket, so I wouldn't mind giving you this one. I'd rather someone use and enjoy a good knife than have it sit in my drawer barely seeing the light of day. PM or email me your shipping address and I'll mail it to you.

Ok Vivi, you've talked me into it. But, I couldn't find your email and don't know how to pm. Any help?

Sam
