SMKW Doctor's Pattern, just got the email.

When I was a kid back in the late 50's early 60's there was a fruit stand near us that had watermelon's in big barrels with large chunks of ice my dad would stop at. He would pick out the melon and thump it then ask for a knife to cut out a plug to taste it..He always bought the mellon he cut. It was probably only a 4"- 5" long blade but to me it looked huge! It looked exactly like this one..It was the first knife I remember my Dad holding..I'll have to check it out!

Very cool. Not a pattern that appeals to me but if this is a sign of what's to come then I'm excited about the 300 series.

I'm glad to see this pattern from Buck. It's kinda crazy their just coming out with this pattern though.

I like it.
But I'll wait for the American version.

Hmmmm... I missed that it's an import. Just assumed it was USA made since I thought they were discontinuing the import line under the Buck name. That's too bad, I thought this was a sign of the new retooled 300 series.

Cool knife though with two different handle options and one blade or two. A nice addition for the guys that collect the import line and I'm sure quality is top notch.

I thought it was a USA too. I have to admit some of the China 300's look very cool and collectable especially the fancy ones. I like the fishing themed ones.

I collect Dr's knives, I went ahead and bought it since it's a Buck even though it's the only Dr's knife made in China I own....

Did you catch there are 4 variations, something not mentioned in the email but shown on the web site.
2 handle materials... black smooth bone or stagalon (plastic stag)
2 blade patterns, single and double

That is pretty cool they picked a real classic pattern to make.

Hopefully a loomfixer is next.
