I was so confused by that email from Buck...

I could have sworn that the 842 Pro as well as the 841 Pro in marbled carbon fiber and the 841 Pro in burlap Micarta had all been released months ago... In fact, I'm just about positive because I've had a marbled carbon fiber 841 in my shopping cart at KnifeCenter or GPK for quite some time now and I don't recall it saying pre-order. The street price on the G10 842 is $125, the burlap Micarta 841 is $120, and the marbled carbon fiber 841 is $150 by the way.

I'm still going back and forth with myself over the 841. Looks like a sweet knife and I really want some marbled carbon fiber, but that $150 entry price is a bit steep and I'm not a fan of the Cerakote.

They were released months ago to resellers. Buck did not have them in stock on their website until late last week. So now they are available directly from Buck. I guess stocking the resellers before making it available directly from Buck is a common practice with new releases.

At one point in time he posted pics of both, the blue/black and red/CF. They have been out for awhile there was a thread going on them not to long ago.

Guys, this is a flipping machine. Ive got two. This one has been with me the most. Lockup hasnt changed. Great knife. Not an over built beat the heck out of knife. But its highly satisfying to flip close flip close over and over. Highly recommended.

I do carry the other. Not marbled c.f. though. Just different colors.
