Sorry if this has already been mentioned.

Several new 301's listed, also a 112 Buffalo Ranger w/chip flint blade and buffalo/cocobola handle, also a 118 w/palmwood. Maybe others but I haven't been watching it closely lately.

Good hunting!

Thanks for the heads up. The 118 with palmwood handle is pretty cool @ $60. I met someone at the SMKW meeting that collected the 118. My guess is that he already has one.

The 112 with buffalo and cocobola handle is also nice, but the discount price of $160 to me is a lttle too dear. I really like it though.

The single blade stockman 301 is something I have never seen before and they have 4 different kinds, black plastic, red wood, yellow delrin and dymondwood. Is there such a thing as a "single blade stockman", maybe 300 bucks can chime in???:)

I'm with you on the single bladed Stockman, not sure if it's a typo or not. I don't know enough about them either way.

I cant believe its a typo since there are 4 different versions. Not sure how I feel about em either. Several knice new ones on there-thanks ohen

No, I don't think it is a typo, it is a 301 stockman with one blade. I was just joking that to me the definiton of a stockman is a knife with 3 blades. My guess is that it is a limited run and the knife will be thinner, actually, it should be a unquick nice collectable knife that will fit in your pocket without much fuss.

I am leaning toward the yellow knife, as I don't have one of those.

Ok, Single blades. I have a 321 bird knife with the gut hook taken out of it. It makes a thin long single blade. I call it, for the lack of a better description, my Texas 'Shiv'. Something a cowboy might have fixed to the inside of his tall boots. Anyway here is a photo of it and a three blade side by side.

I have not called the store to know what these are about. But they either fixed some for some buyer or as a test or left over parts or some such deal.
They should make interesting, thin knives, if that seems what you can use. I would rather have a 303 one blade then it would go in the watch pocket of a pair of pants without even a notice it was there. I would really like to see a 301 and 303 made with premium steel with just two springs, and a clip main blade and a warcliff (sorta like a sheepsfoot) secondary blade....that would be a prefect setup for me...oh yah and both pivoting on the same end..........sort of a Buck super peanut.......maybe I should call Leroy..............300Bucks

P.S.Added: Man-O-man I am starting to get slow, there has been a single blade 303 made by Buck in the past. The best finished, fanciest 300 ever made, in my opinion.

Don't make me look up the info., but it is horn and pearl and mirror polished one blade, opposite end was contoured to off-set blade end.
Had a good price to go with fancy finish.

UH-OH, I am a sucker for singleblade folding knives. This is gonna hurt the wallet.
Three hundred that is a sweet looking three-0-three.

:):):)

That palmwood 118 should be a beauty. I have a couple of Kalingas with that wood and they are really nice.

I carry one of five different stockman everyday and I use the sheepsfoot blade more than the main blade so I don't think the single blade is for me. Of course, I may just have to have some just 'cause.:D

The 301's should all be US made, correct?

Seems like a toothpick almost to me with the one blade. Need to sleep on this one! Very tempted since I've wanted a single bladed larger Buck but would prefer US made and the old California Toothpicks have eluded me thus far.

I just ordered the 118. I think it will look good in the case with one of the Palmwood Kalingas. So far I've passed on the "toothpicks".

The 301 is US made and Single blade. There are only about 50 of each made, however, this will be a Model 302 full prodution version later this year. (stamped 302, not stamped 301)

and you didn't hear that from me :D

I noticed they dropped the prices on the 112 and 118. The 112 is $60 and 118 is $52. The last time I looked the 112 was $160 and the 118 was $60.

Thanks for the tip. I went back and ordered one of the 112's now that the price is a LITTLE better. :D

Just for information for those who don't have one. In my experience, the chipped flint blades are more for looking at than using. I have four already and only one came sharp enough to even make a fair letter opener. I think they are more designed for display than for use. I expect that they could be sharpened at home, but I'd be afraid of marring the blade.

I wonder what Buck is going to do about those who ordered yesterday() before the price drop?

Wow, zowie pop, I didn't even think about it, I got the 112. A few years ago, I started to really like the 112 and at the meeting at SMKW 3 weeks ago "bucksway" gave me a knife he was about to buy, a 112 with a 450 blade. This will make this my sixth 112.

I may buy other items, but I felt I should jump on this, not that I am buying by price, but dang, that is a pretty knife, thanks for the heads up. Free shipping too.

I did order two each of the three-o-ones. Half will be users the others will be used for gifting or horsetrading down the road.

Was on the fence with the one-eighteen, looks the the price drop sealed the deal. I do prefer fixed-blades they are just not practical for EDC.

:D:thumbup::cool:
